Being a member of the Tejano Music Recording Academy is critical in helping the Tejano music community. As a member, you have the benefit of submitting your own material, as well as that of any other artist, for consideration in the Premios Tejano Mundial award process. Also, if you qualify as a member, you will be able to participate in the voting process, receive invitations to participate in exclusive events, as well as access to preferential rates to attend the Premios Tejano Mundial. The Tejano Music Recording Academy offers a voting membership. By joining our music community, you will add your voice and experience to that of the Tejano Music Recording Academy, and together we can share our musical wealth with future generations.
Proof of a career in music, including but not limited to:
COMMERICALLY DISTRIBUTED, VERIFIABLE CREDITS IN A SINGLE CREATIVE PROFESSION.
All tracks must be commercially available in the United States, either through recognized online music retailers/streaming services (defined as paid, full catalog, audio-only, on–demand streaming and/or limited download subscription services) or physical distribution retail stores.

Voting Membership is for performers, songwriters, producers, engineers, and MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTORS currently working in the recording industry. Voting Members determine SPECIFIC TEJANO MUNDIAL CATEGORY winners each year.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of three (3) credits (singles or tracks) and digital releases.
- Each credit must be duly supported by verifiable documentation (e.g. photo or scan of album notes. For digitial releases, profiles from AllMusic, Jaxsta, Spotify, among others) are accepted.
- These credits must have been commercially released in year 2023 and must be available through a digital platform or a physical distribution.
- Credits must classify within these eligibility categories: singer, musician, songwriter, producer, engineer, and music video director/videographer. *Executive Production and assistant roles do not qualify for voting membership.

The Tejano Music Recording Academy reserves the discretionary right of admission. The decision of each membership application is based on the evaluation of the submitted support material.
